I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home where I learned about the Lord. I remember asking Jesus to save me at age 5. Yet the older I became, the less interested I was. Quite simply, the Bible and going to church was boring to me. I desired one thing – to play professional sports. Over time, many sin struggles became personally overwhelming, but I kept them all hidden. I was a miserable person, and my lifestyle did not reflect that of a Christian.
During my senior year in college, a friend invited me to a Bible study. Feeling I had nothing to lose, I went. It was the first time in my life that I saw young people care about Jesus, and I longed for what they had. Soon after, I committed my life to Christ and His work. Over time, that longing developed into a major burden. My passion shifted from sports to studying God’s Word to know Him more. In addition, it was in this season where I met my wife Megan. We were married in October 2011, and love serving Christ together.
As my passion grew, God called me into full-time ministry where I spent two years in seminary and became a College Pastor for five years. Now at Provision Church, my heart is to continue to make disciples on the college campus and connect these students to the inter-generational church.
